
Dr. Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor is the National Coordinator, of the National Alternative Employment and Livelihood Program (NAELP), an initiative of the Government of Ghana under the auspices of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
Dr Serwaa Donkor holds Ph.D and teaches and researches on the broad areas of gender politics and media. Dr Serwaa Donkor previously taught at University of Liverpool, Birmingham City University International College, in the United Kingdom and Ghana Institute of Journalism currently University of Media Arts and Communication (UniMAC). She was a presidential staffer.
She is the Founding Director of Aya Institute for Women, Politics and Media – a research and training institute for gender equality. Aya Institute spearheads Gender Watch – a compendium of Baseline Studies; and Add Your Story, a gender based discrimination and sexual harassment project.
Dr Serwaa Donkor has consulted for the World Bank, GIZ and Women Thrive Worldwide. She was in residence at Howard University (US) and McGill University (Canada) undertaking research on feminist political communications in 2013 and 2014.
